German Sparkassenstiftung launches training for lecturers of the Tashkent State University of Economics

For 25 senior lecturers of the Department of Banking at the University, the new academic year after the holidays began this week with a special event. The German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation, Branch Office in the Republic of Uzbekistan, launched a multi-day international training with the aim of integrating practice from economic life into theoretical education. With this, the University intends to significantly increase the practical orientation of the Department of Banking. An admirable goal.

The opening was marked by the highly interactive implementation of the business game “Saving and Budgeting” (Savings Game), conducted by a team of three trainers. From the very beginning, there was great interest and high activity among all participants. This new initiative of the State University of Economics Tashkent was inaugurated by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Uygun Artikov, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Maqsud Rustamov, as well as the Country Director of the German Sparkassenstiftung, Mr. Mathias Wangler, and Dr. Abdulaziz Qosimov, responsible for Uzbek partner banks.
